About The Position

As a Material Handler, you’ll be part of our team located in Shelby, OH. You’ll get to operate a variety of material handling/forklift equipment, move inventory in and out of production and warehouse areas correctly, and perform daily inspections on forklifts according to checklist. You will safely maneuver the facility on forklift, correctly track parts using the RF device and WM system, and perform on-the-job training as needed. You will be responsible for daily 6S activities, such as housekeeping, maintaining an organized and safe work area, and any appropriate paperwork/check sheets. You will also cross-train in all areas of Material Handling and work assigned overtime when necessary. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

State approved Maintenance Journeyman’s card or equivalent experience.
Ability to complete forklift training classes and obtain an MTD forklift license.
Ability to use an RF gun.
Ability to lift 40 pounds consistently.
Ability to use the scale for weigh counting.
Basic math skills.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization.
Ability to work, contribute and succeed in a team environment.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Forklift license – Valid driver’s license also required.
