About The Position

The Material Handler plays a critical role in supporting production operations by ensuring materials are properly received, stored, transported, and supplied to production teams. This position is responsible for safely moving materials throughout the facility, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting efficient workflow to help meet production schedules and customer delivery requirements. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, organized, and willing to assist across various departments as business needs require.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and training.
Basic computer skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
Previous warehouse or material handling experience.
Sit-down forklift operating experience.
Experience with inventory control, cycle counts, and warehouse organization.
Manufacturing or production environment experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare and stage materials for upcoming work orders to support production requirements and ensure on-time customer delivery.
Load and unload trucks.
Receive, sort, label, and stock incoming materials.
Transport raw materials and finished products throughout the facility using a sit-down forklift.
Maintain accurate daily movement logs of materials transferred between inventory and production areas.
Perform inventory cycle counts to ensure tracking accuracy.
Support warehouse organization and material storage processes.
Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Effectively communicate with team members and supervisors.
Adhere to company safety policies and core values.
Assist production and other departments as needed to support overall operational goals.
