Forklift Operator-12 Hour Night Shift
About The Position
The Material Handler is responsible for picking orders and loading/unloading cases of product to and from trailers and containers. They must ensure the accuracy of all orders picked and inspect cases and product for quality issues. The incumbent will ensure that the appropriate materials are supplied to their assigned production areas and lines, will shrink-wrap any material to be stored or returned to the warehouse, and will check Pallet tickets and loads for accuracy. This position requires the ability to identify numerous finished products, perform necessary SAP Transactions, perform routine forklift checklists, change forklift batteries using proper PPE, operate and perform hoist inspections, assist in unloading raw materials/packaging materials, and bale plastic and cardboard and take away trash to the compactor. The incumbent will also be trained to perform various jobs within the warehouse consistent with the skill level and physical demands of the position.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to understand, communicate, read, and write basic work-related English
- Must become certified to operate a forklift
- Pass a mandatory forklift physical
- Ability to identify numerous finished products
- Perform necessary SAP Transactions
- Perform routine forklift checklist
- Change forklift battery using proper PPE
- Operate and perform hoist inspection
- Assist in unloading raw materials / packaging materials
- Bale plastic and cardboard and take away trash to compactor
- Microsoft Office, Outlook, SAP
- Rare lifting up to 50 lbs
- Knowledge of warehouse operating procedures
- Certified to operate a forklift
