About The Position

The Material Handling Specialist position supports Enterprise Contract Logistics Services (ECLS) in support of the Command, Control, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C2ISR) Division, AFLCMC/HBG, at the enterprise level for Materiel Management and Warehousing and other Supply Chain Management (SCM) activities as required by the C2ISR weapon systems. Requires an Active DoD Secret clearance.

Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret clearance required
  • High School diploma or equivalency required
  • Ability to operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties
  • Experience in inventory and document control
  • Experience in warehousing operations to include receiving/inspecting assets into the facility, performing inspections on incoming and outgoing material, packing and labeling both general and hazardous cargo.

Responsibilities

  • Performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies.
  • Responsible for movement, storage, control and protection of materials, goods and products throughout the process of manufacturing, distribution, consumption and disposal.
  • Issues, ships, delivers or transfers property from issue, shipping, or transfer destination points through coordination with customers.
  • Controls issue of classified sensitive and controlled items, obtaining custody or document receipts.
  • Ensures security classification sensitivities of handling, shipping, receiving, transfer and storage locations are observed per applicable security classification guides.
  • Compiles data for storage and occupancy planning reports.
  • Pulls, issues, and bins bench stock property.
  • Perform a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of this establishment’s storage plan.
  • Verify materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
  • Process/input receipts documentation using ALMSS and clear processing discrepancies.
  • Route materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palatalizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage.
  • Remove material from storage and prepare for shipment.
