About The Position

Leading manufacturer is seeking to fill entry-level Material Handler positions for its Huger, SC single-site steel coil processing plant.

Requirements

• Dependability to be consistently at work and on time with ability to work flexible schedule of 40+ hours per week as required
• Basic verbal/written comprehension skills
• Basic math and measuring skills using tape measure, micrometers, calipers, and/or other measuring devices
• Team mentality with ability to follow safety and quality procedures
• Near/far vision; total visual field; repetitive sitting, standing, walking, driving, and/or bending; heavy lifting (up to 65 lbs) capability; multiple limb coordination.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma/GED preferred
• Forklift/overhead, crane operation experience preferred; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Loading/unloading raw steel materials and finished products including banding and palletizing
• Assisting on the press and/or slitter production lines as assigned
• Perform maintenance helper and other general labor actions as assigned
• Successful training may lead to operator positions.
