Position Summary: A Material Handler is responsible for receiving product from dispatch and determining priority orders, transferring and conveying product to appropriate packing method specified per product. Tasked to wrap package and secure packages as required for shipment. Will ship packages accordingly to destination and verify quality of shipment orders.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Willingness and ability to use measuring and wiring tools, as required by the job
  • Communication Proficiency
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime, as required
  • Organization Skills
  • Time Management
  • Willingness and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness and ability to stand on feet and walk to perform all physical requirements of the job for an 8-10 hour shift
  • Willingness and ability to work with hands extended above head
  • Willingness and ability to perform work while standing on a ladder
  • All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a shipping, receiving, manufacturing, stockroom, and/or warehouse setting
  • Use of SAP WM module to pick/pack materials

Responsibilities

  • Stock and retrieve boxes and parts of various shapes and sizes from indoor and outdoor storage areas
  • Communicate in a team environment
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Use pallet jacks and material movement devices for retrieval and moving of items
  • Pack product for shipping in accordance with customer requirements, business processes, and applicable regulations
  • Utilize pad-pack machines, shrink wrap machines, fork lifts, and other tools / equipment, as required
  • Use computer applications to ship confirm, run packing slips, and other tasks related to shipping, receiving and stockroom
  • Produce labels using computer programs
  • Load trucks both manually and with use of a fork-lift
  • Must understand and support all Quality, Product Safety, and Health/Safety/Environmental/Energy policies.
  • Must understand and adhere to all relevant statutory or regulatory compliance obligations.
  • Must understand and support relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), as defined in the goal tree.
