About The Position

This role is responsible for unloading and loading materials from trailers and storage areas, ensuring materials are handled safely. The Material Handler will also check that materials are packaged correctly, are not damaged, and are up-to-date in the computer systems by entering data into the computer systems and on a timely basis, as well as organizing and maintaining inventory. This position requires good attendance, the ability to work safely and efficiently, and to be a team player and an independent worker with strong attention to detail and organizational skills, as well as the ability to multi-task.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment
Proficient with tape measure
Ability to use basic math to analyze information
Experience with computer systems
Minimum of 2+ Year on a forklift in manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or equivalent
3 years’ or more experience working in a manufacturing environment
Previous experience handling materials (raw bar stock)
Experience with EPICOR

Responsibilities

Loading and unloading materials and/or pallets from trailers or designated storage units, using proper lifting equipment
Entering data into the computer systems on time
Ensuring materials are labeled and packaged properly
Maintaining inventory, ensuring it is up to date
Performing general maintenance and cleanup of working areas
Maintaining safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
Performing operator maintenance and/or 5S housekeeping per established schedules
