About The Position

Volt is immediately hiring Material Handlers in Pflugerville, TX. This is a full-time, temp to hire opportunity. The role involves performing physical or combined administrative/physical tasks related to storing, counting, and distributing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. Responsibilities include compiling and maintaining records of inventory, preparing material requisitions, following ISO procedures and Material Handling Guidelines, and using checklists to ensure kit accuracy. The position also involves processing returned items, auditing kits for accuracy, and examining, stocking, and distributing materials. Cycle counting is used to maintain inventory records.

Requirements

• Current Experience on a Forklift
• Current Driver’s License
• Ability to read/write/speak English
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds to complete tasks.

Nice To Haves

• 6 months or more of Material Handler experience preferred.
• Experience using a computer.
• Experience with MRP System / ORACLE a HUGE Plus!

Responsibilities

• Performing the physical or combined administrative/physical tasks involved in the storing, counting and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
• Compiling and maintaining records of quantity, cost and type of material stocked and issued, and prepares material requisitions.
• Following all distribution related ISO procedures, and Material Handling Guidelines.
• Working from requisition, order list or stock list to pull required items.
• Using a checklist as items are pulled to ensure kit accuracy.
• Accumulating orders, reporting shortages and transporting completed orders to distribution point or staging area.
• Processing returned items and unscheduled issues.
• Compiling and maintaining inventory of material received, stocked, and issued.
• Preparing requests for procurement of material.
• Lifting heavy items and may operate a pallet jack or forklift.
• Examining, stocking and distributing materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
• Taking inventory of stored items through cycle counting.
• Auditing kits for accuracy.
