About The Position

Firestone Pacific Foods (FPF) grows, freezes, and packs frozen fruit products on behalf of food retailers and foodservice companies in the United States and overseas. Our fruit is harvested at the peak of ripeness, processed, and packed in our state-of-the art facilities shipment with a keen attention to quality and food safety. The Firestone Family began farming in Vancouver, WA, in 1896. In 2019, an impact investment fund managed by Agriculture Capital acquired FPF to build out a low cost, vertically integrated supply chain of high quality, organic blueberries operating at scale to address growing global demand for this nutritious fruit.

Requirements

Forklift experience is required.

English/Spanish bilingual a plus.
Passion for great tasting and nutritious fruit products, including smoothies, would be a big plus.

Responsibilities

Records and maintains the flow of inventory into and out of the warehouse, from receiving, shipping, issuing, handling for stock at Firestone warehouses.
Ensures the correct product and quantity are issued, received, and shipped correctly within the inventory system both manually entering and scanning product into system.
Reports inventory shortages and discrepancies directly to Inventory Lead and Operations Supervisor.
Wraps loaded pallets according to company guidelines.
Ensures electric jacks and/or forklifts are in working order and reports problems to Warehouse Manager.
Operates Company equipment with the warehouse functions and reports if the system is not functioning as intended.
Escalates quality concerns when opening product on the lines to Shift Lead or Operations Supervisor.
Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
Follows all safety requirements related to operating the forklift and stretch wrap equipment.
Reports any accidents immediately to the supervisor.
Follows company safety guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Efficiently stacks and stores materials in the appropriate locations.
Complies with company policies and procedures.
Performs all tasks assigned by Shift Lead.
Loads and unloads materials from equipment, totes, and pallets.
Feeds or places materials onto equipment for processing.
Assists operators in set up of production lines.
Mixes materials to customer specification.
Stacks and wraps materials on pallets.
Attaches appropriate labels to materials.
Willing to be cross-trained and move to other areas when needed.
Maintains a safe, clean, and organized production area.
Ensures that all products are processed to the highest standard of quality.
Keeps a constant visual on Forklift Operators.
