Requirements

  • Certification to operate a forklift in a safe and proper manner.
  • Ability to work well with little direct supervision.
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Have good organizational skills.
  • Able to train other people how to do your job.
  • Be able to follow procedures.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • High School/GED diploma
  • Read, write, and understand English.
  • Working knowledge of basic math
  • Basic computer knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Perform all the material handling responsibilities between the Printing and Finishing Departments.
  • Work with printing and finishing teams to follow their schedules in order to meet all material handling responsibilities.
  • Stage loads from press finish lines.
  • Pallet management to include pallet removal and placement for palletizing.
  • Stretch-wrap loads to prepare for shipment.
  • Corrugate at packing end of gluers.
  • Palletize and wrap the roll cores for transportation.
  • Load roll cores on scrap trailer.
  • Dispose of printed waste once the teams have documented the waste.
  • Help teams keep area neat and clean: sweep, re-pile pallets, fix broken pallets, etc.
  • Complete daily forklift maintenance and communicate problems to warehouse crew.
  • Take window loads over to appropriate finishing lines.
  • Weekend responsibility to remove bales.
  • Notify warehouse when dumpster is full.
  • Be able to work mill hours.
