About The Position

The Material Handler position is responsible for ordering, filling, kitting, stocking, loading, and inspecting materials accurately. This role also involves maintaining inventory record accuracy through transfers and cycle counts, and transporting materials using appropriate equipment. The Material Handler will identify damaged materials and shortages, communicate issues, and follow proper handling procedures. Additionally, they will assist with physical inventory, quality improvement efforts, and operator assistance with heavy objects, while maintaining safety standards and good housekeeping practices.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED
1-2 years related experience
Valid forklift license
Physical ability to lift 40+ pounds
Ability to climb 20-foot ladders
Willingness to work overtime on short notice
Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
Working knowledge of barcode scanners
Familiarity with line set practices
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Excellent communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
Computer proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Responsibilities

Order, fill, kit, stock, load, and inspect materials accurately
Maintain inventory record accuracy through transfers and cycle counts
Transport materials using appropriate equipment (pallet jack, forklift, etc.)
Organize and line set materials according to operations schedule
Identify damaged materials and shortages, communicate issues, and follow proper handling procedures
Assist with physical inventory, quality improvement efforts, and operator assistance with heavy objects
Maintain safety standards and good housekeeping practices
Complete required administrative tasks
