About The Position
Under direct supervision, handles and maintains flow of materials and products in manufacturing areas according to established guidelines and to ensure material availability and deliver when needed to meet production schedules. Loads and unloads material within a warehouse or storage facility. Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED Required
Nice To Haves
- Forklift Experience Preferred
- Computer/ SAP Experience Preferred
- Overhead hoist or crane Experience Preferred
Responsibilities
- Sort, organize, and maintain packing and boxing inventory
- Operate lift equipment (fork truck, order picker, reach truck)
- Read production schedule and deliver correct parts or raw material to production or shipping
- Stage parts and finished products in correct storage area in warehouse
- Keep up with all material transactions in the computer system
- Load and unload trucks
- Assist production with prompt removal of scrap
- Performs daily required lift truck inspection
- Report mechanical or safety issues to management promptly
