About The Position

This role involves performing physical and administrative tasks related to shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. The Material Handler will unpack and check received goods against purchase orders or invoices, maintain records of received goods, and reject unsatisfactory items. Responsibilities include lifting heavy items, operating a forklift or order picker, preparing and maintaining records of merchandise shipped, posting weights and shipping charges, and preparing goods for final shipment. Additionally, the role involves examining stocks, distributing materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines, and preparing kitting packages for assembly production. This position reports to the Production Supervisor and is located onsite in Ladysmith, WI, specifically in the molding department on the 2nd Shift (Mon-Fri, 3 PM-11 PM). Mandatory overtime may be required to support operational demands.

Requirements

  • Minimum of High School Diploma/GED OR 2 years of verified related experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Experience will be the determining factor for position level and compensation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
  • Unpack and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintain records of received goods and reject unsatisfactory items.
  • Lift heavy items and may operate a forklift or order picker.
  • Prepare and maintain records of merchandise shipped.
  • Post weights and shipping charges and prepare goods for final shipment.
  • Examine stocks and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines and prepare kitting packages for assembly production.
  • Use tools and equipment including hammers, cutters for wood, cardboard and plastics, forklifts and other motorized equipment.
  • Use Powered industrial vehicles, scanning devices and other material handling equipment.
  • Use documented work instructions and manufacturing execution systems for receiving, picking, and delivering parts.
  • Perform moderately difficult assignments and processes.
  • Work independently and operate multiple Powered Industrial Vehicles to load, unload, and transfer materials or finished products.
  • Assemble product and deliver materials to production areas.
  • Pick up waste and delivers finished product on a scheduled route.
  • Assist with changeovers, provides tools and materials, and supports standard work to maintain production flow.
  • Place reorder requests for floor stock and bulk materials.
  • Review documentation and uses SAP/external systems to assess, replenish, and prioritize materials and finished goods for production and shipping.
  • Provide documentation support, materials administration, and general process support.
  • Work overtime as required, typically 8 hours per week, with actual hours varying.
