Reporting to the Team Leader, the Material Handler will be responsible for but not limited to:
Efficient and accurate movement of materials in and outside of plants.
Rig, hoist and move materials.
Assists in the movement of material in the plant/property by use of crane, forklift, tow motor etc.
Ensures safe work practices are adhered to.
Load planning and building.
Loads and unloads trailers, as required, to Walters Standards.
Ensures all tools and equipment are operated with care.
Accurately fills out all required paperwork and ensures records remain up to date.
Performs housekeeping tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating all terrain forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Previous experience organizing shipping documents.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to work independently.
• Knowledge of health and safety policies and procedures.
