About The Position

This role focuses on material handling fundamentals, proficiency, and advanced leadership. Responsibilities include safe material handling, receiving, moving, staging, and issuing raw materials and production components. The role requires operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other approved equipment, accurately identifying materials, maintaining organized inventory, and performing ERP/WMS transactions. It also involves supporting production schedules, assisting with inventory counts and audits, loading/unloading shipments, and training less experienced handlers. Advanced levels include leading daily activities, mentoring, assisting with inventory investigations, supporting process improvements, and promoting safe work practices. Additional responsibilities include ensuring safety compliance, participating in training, maintaining inventory accuracy and housekeeping, supporting physical inventories, and assisting with continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Consistently demonstrate safe material handling and warehouse practices.
  • Properly receive, move, stage, and issue raw materials and production components.
  • Competently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other approved material handling equipment.
  • Accurately identify material types, part numbers, heat numbers, and inventory labels.
  • Maintain organized inventory locations and proper material storage practices.
  • Follow FIFO requirements and inventory control procedures where applicable.
  • Perform basic ERP/WMS transactions accurately.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with company safety standards.
  • Understand basic shipping, receiving, and inventory procedures.
  • Demonstrate reliable attendance, communication, and teamwork.
  • All Level 1 requirements.
  • All Level 2 requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all Company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
  • Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and required training sessions.
  • Complete required documentation, reports, and system transactions accurately and timely.
