The successful candidate will join our Leidos team in a warehouse environment to help manage assets. This may include scheduling, planning, tracking, shipping, and dispositioning, in addition to the following: Fabrication of shipping labels, ensuring proper format, and shipping address accuracy. Coordinating special shipping requirements as necessary. Documenting and maintaining accurate shipping activity files. Providing daily shipping and billing summaries to program administration. Performing periodic inventory of shipping material to ensure adequate quantities on hand. Performing applicable data entry to the existing CDLS automated Logistics Database. Performing preliminary package inspection for any apparent external damage and notify shipper at time of delivery if damage is detected. Verifying packages for shipment type (Purchase Order or Field parts returned for repair. For Purchase Order items, verifying the Purchase Order document to the part received and then notifying ordering individual of the received parts). Updating and maintaining the department receiving files. Maintaining the warehouse physical organization and cleanliness. Supporting periodic warehouse inventory activities. Interfacing with management to resolve any problems or discrepancies that may arise with orders. Developing a level of expertise via cross training of coworker functions to fill in for position absences.
