About The Position

Brunswick is a global marine leader committed to challenging conventions and innovating next-generation technologies. The Inventory Control Associate is responsible for performing routine inventory control, material handling, and warehouse tasks to support daily operations. This role includes receiving, storing, moving, and staging materials accurately and safely while following established procedures and safety guidelines. The Inventory Control I position also performs inventory cycle counts, verifies inventory accuracy, investigates variances, and maintains accurate inventory records within the system. The Inventory Control I works closely with team members, leads, and supervisors to ensure materials are accurately tracked and available to meet production and delivery requirements in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in material handling, logistics, or warehouse operations.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles and stock management processes.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment.
  • Familiarity with inventory systems and/or barcode scanners.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S principles.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, store, and issue materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Perform physical and system-based inventory transactions.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movements.
  • Assemble kits of materials, parts, and components based on production work orders or pick lists.
  • Verify kit contents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Label and stage kits for delivery to production or shipping areas.
  • Return unused materials from kits to inventory with proper documentation.
  • Transport materials between warehouse, production, and shipping/receiving areas using carts, pallet jacks, or forklifts (if certified).
  • Assist with loading and unloading of trucks.
  • Use ERP or inventory management systems to track material movements.
  • Complete required paperwork and labeling in compliance with company standards.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • All other duties as assigned.
