About The Position

Perform manual duties related to the movement of products and materials, verifying the physical accuracy of the shipping and receiving function. As a Material Handler, you will complete all assigned work, including picking stock in a safe and accountable manner, and ensure associated stock accuracy where applicable during the shift. This position is located in South Brunswick, NJ, for shift 3:30 PM to 11:00 PM. You will report to the Team Leader or Supervisor and learn new skills to stay current with the needs of the position in a changing environment. You will be trained and certified to use different types of forklift trucks. You will have a great educational background with experience in a food/chemical production environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and move materials (frequently up to 50 lbs / 23 kg).
• Experience with forklifts or material-handling equipment (may require certification).
• Basic computer and inventory-tracking skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities.
• Work picking and weighing out materials.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Move materials to storage or production areas.
• Pick and stage materials for production or shipping.
• Operate equipment such as: Forklift, Pallet jacks or Hand truck.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and perform cycle counts.
• Use warehouse management systems (WMS) or scanners to track inventory.
• Follow safety procedures and keep work areas organized.
