Requirements

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this 3M Production role, in compliance with U.S. labor and safety laws.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing, agriculture, construction or a similar field required.
  • Minimum of 3 to 6 months of experience operating forklift/material handling.
  • Must be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, and work overtime as needed.
  • Applicants meeting the basic qualifications may be required to take and pass 3M elected testing as a part of the selection process.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Responsibilities

  • Safely operating material handling and transport equipment including PIVs, pallet jacks, hand trucks, drum lifts, and yard spotters to move product as needed across buildings and production areas.
  • Inspecting, monitoring, and maintaining equipment and operating conditions by completing pre-use inspection checklists, verifying equipment is in suitable operating condition, ensuring proper use of auxiliary equipment, and maintaining required conditions such as cooler, trailer, and hot room temperatures.
  • Supporting production, quality, and materials control processes by participating in quality programs, following materials control procedures, maintaining required certifications and training competencies, and applying knowledge of SOPs, SAP, and PLM to troubleshoot and resolve work task and equipment issues.
  • Completing required documentation and maintaining accurate records related to GMP procedures, shipping activities, temperature logs, inspections, and other job-related tasks and compliance requirements.
  • Promoting a safe, clean, and compliant work environment by understanding and following safety standards and emergency procedures, maintaining an orderly and hazard-free work area, cleaning and operating portable equipment, and reinforcing safe work practices within the area.
  • Responsibilities of this position include that corporate policies, procedures and security standards are complied with while performing assigned duties.
