About The Position

The Material Handler performs the movement of work in progress products through the various stages of manufacturing. This role involves utilizing a warehouse mobility system to track and log material movement, completing all associated documentation accurately, and maintaining clean and orderly work/staging areas. The position requires adherence to good manufacturing practices (GMP & cGMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), as well as contributing to team efforts and maintaining inventory records. The role also includes performing routine cleaning of the production area and proper disposal of waste. The Material Handler must be able to work overtime as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Computer proficiency
  • Accurately read, write, and count.
  • Able to work effectively with others.
  • Physically able to wear cleanroom/protective gowning and equipment, including but not limited to gowning, goggles, face shields, and protective gloves.
  • Use of pallet/hand jack to move material.
  • Able to lift 10 pounds repeatedly (5 to 6 hours).
  • Able to lift 11-25 pounds occasionally (1-2 hours).
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds routinely.

Nice To Haves

  • Warehouse or similar experience, preferred.
  • Power jack/Lift jack certified, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize warehouse mobility system to track/log movement of material from warehouse through manufacturing.
  • Accurately complete all documentation associated with tasks performed.
  • Keep work/staging areas clean and orderly.
  • Follow directives issued by leads and supervisors.
  • Prioritize and complete required tasks efficiently.
  • Perform routine cleaning of production area using various cleaning agents and when required donning the necessary PPE.
  • Properly dispose of refuse and waste.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
  • Adhere to good manufacturing practices (GMP & cGMP).
  • Perform duties according to the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform any other tasks/duties as assigned by management.
  • Maintain scrubs, garments, and PPE inventory.
  • Transfer of required paperwork and components throughout required areas.
  • Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling and placing materials and supplies in stock while keeping accurate records.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
