About The Position

The Material Handler WH is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. This position receives, inspects, stores, stages, and ships products while maintaining inventory accuracy and following all safety, quality, and environmental standards. The Warehouse Material Handler operates material handling equipment, maintains a clean and organized work area, and works collaboratively with team members to support daily warehouse operations and meet customer delivery requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous warehouse or material handling experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification or the ability to become certified.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to accurately complete paperwork and maintain inventory records.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to work a rotating 12-hour schedule that includes day and night shifts, every other weekend, holidays, and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in daily pre-shift meetings, shift handoffs, and safety briefings.
  • Lead or actively participate in toolbox meetings and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Safely receive, inspect, unload, stage, and load inbound and outbound materials in accordance with company procedures.
  • Execute pull lists and prepare shipments by accurately picking, relabeling, blending, staging, and loading materials.
  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, quality, and proper documentation.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by following established inventory control procedures and accurately recording material transactions.
  • Prepare, complete, and maintain shipping, receiving, inventory, and equipment inspection documentation.
  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment, including completing required pre-use inspections.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment by supporting housekeeping and 5S initiatives.
  • Conduct routine warehouse inspections, identify improvement opportunities, and address housekeeping or organizational deficiencies.
  • Promptly report safety concerns, spills, equipment malfunctions, and maintenance issues, and assist in implementing corrective actions when appropriate.
  • Read, understand, and follow work orders, warehouse procedures, and standard operating procedures.
  • Comply with all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), Responsible Care®, Quality Management System (QMS), and applicable regulatory requirements, including permit procedures when required.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support daily operational goals and provide cross-functional support as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
