About The Position

McKesson is seeking a Material Handler Specialist to support overnight operations within our distribution center. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products while ensuring inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and a safe work environment. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements

  • Typically requires 3+ years of related experience.
  • Experience with order picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory management processes.
  • Basic computer skills and experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, or inventory tracking systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift certification or wiling to attain certification.
  • Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, or other material handling equipment.
  • Experience working in a high-volume distribution center, warehouse, fulfillment center, or supply chain environment.
  • Experience performing cycle counts, inventory audits, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures, inventory control best practices, and quality standards.
  • Strong problem-solving, organization, and time management skills.
  • Experience training, mentoring, or providing guidance to less experienced team members.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Continuous Improvement, or operational excellence practices.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect inbound shipments, verify quantities, and identify discrepancies or product damage.
  • Accurately pick, pack, stage, and prepare customer orders for shipment using warehouse management systems and established procedures.
  • Load and unload trucks safely using material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial equipment.
  • Perform inventory transactions, cycle counts, and stock replenishment activities to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate and help resolve inventory discrepancies, shipment issues, and other operational challenges.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements while maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to support daily distribution center goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
