About The Position

This role is responsible for various warehouse and production support tasks, including order picking, inventory management, and maintaining a clean work environment. The Material Handler will also be responsible for accurate recording of process parameters and material movements, as well as proper use and care of equipment. Communication with team captains, supervisors, and the Logistics Team is essential, as is participation in process improvement efforts.

Requirements

Must be able to understand, speak, read and write in English in order to perform the essential functions of the job as they relate to comprehension of laws, regulations, standards, documents and other internal and external communications.
Must have solid organizational skills.
Must be willing to work with computers and computer systems.
Must communicate well, written and oral, with others within the organization.
Must have ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure and to perform the four operations with like or common fractions to compute percent.
Must be able to move 50 lbs. from floor to 48 inches height.
Ability to lift, twist, crawl, reach, grab, bend, climb, perform similar activities as needed and stand for long periods.
Must pass in house forklift certification.

Responsibilities

Pick orders accurately, efficiently, and effectively.
Organize and maintain products in the warehouse racks.
Cycle count areas as assigned by Inventory Control (IC) Team.
Maintain a clean work environment.
Maintain lines of communication with production line team captains and supervisors.
Communicate all inventory discrepancies to Logistics Team Captain/Supervisor/Inventory Control.
Accountable for the quality of product made.
Accurate and timely recording of process parameters on specified documents.
Accurate and timely recording of materials picked, product produced, scrap, and excess.
Proper use and care of equipment and materials issued to work area.
Coordinate with team captain and supervisors on process improvement efforts.
