Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the Material Handler/Shipper plays an important role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials and finished goods throughout our facility. This position is responsible for material handling, shipping and receiving activities, inventory organization, and supporting production through the timely delivery of raw materials.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in shipping, warehousing, or a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office applications, manufacturing software, and network directories.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent (considered an asset).
  • A valid forklift license is considered an asset but is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, move, store, and organize raw materials within the warehouse while maintaining proper stock rotation and minimizing obsolescence.
  • Deliver and remove raw materials to and from primary press lines and secondary production areas as required.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Pack, prepare, and ship customer orders accurately and on time.
  • Verify product quantities, weights, and shipping requirements.
  • Process shipping documentation, billing information, and data entry using company systems.
  • Coordinate with carriers and transportation providers to ensure efficient shipments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of departmental objectives.
