About The Position

This role is responsible for handling materials in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where quality products save and sustain lives. The Material Handler, Receiving is a key part of a team that works around-the-clock to meet customer needs, emphasizing camaraderie, teamwork, and attention to detail. The position involves moving materials efficiently and accurately to ensure timely delivery of life-saving products.

Requirements

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have basic English written and oral communication skills adequate to communicate with other team members and external vendors, suppliers, and customers.
Understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions and read and comprehend written work instructions including words and drawings.
Must be able to perform basic mathematics.
Possess or be able to obtain Powered Industrial Truck Certification.
Moderate computer skills required.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with a forklift.
CRC (Career Readiness Certification) at the Silver level, preferred.
A high level of detail orientation and organizational skills to improve work area space.

Responsibilities

Pick raw materials and production supplies from warehouse either by hand, forklift or other means and deliver to the designated area.
By schedule or upon request, pick up materials or empty containers from production areas and transport to the warehouse or other department.
Using the Enterprise Resource Planning software (GME) to access and update inventory locations if necessary, along with utilize multiple other software systems to execute daily and weekly tasks.
Receives IPSO (Inter-Plant Shipping Orders) and prepares them for shipment.
Secure trailer while loading by blocking and locking out.
Load raw materials and production supplies into trailers and box trucks.
Pre-Op the forklift and change out batteries (if required).
Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur.
Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles.
Learn, understand, and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
