About The Position

It is the responsibility of the Material Handler Raw Materials I to stock, maintain accurate counts, pull and deliver parts and materials to support production. This position primarily requires interaction with many different departments in manufacturing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions finished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Maintains confidentiality when working with company proprietary information.
  • Ability to identify and resolve practical problems in a timely manner.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing/warehouse environment and filter assembly is preferred.
  • ERP experience is preferred, SAP experience is a plus.
  • Computer experience including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is a plus.
  • Capability to obtain forklift certification to drive a forklift, including RAYMOND upright trucks and Wave machines.

Responsibilities

  • Handles raw parts and materials in support of manufacturing operations.
  • Occasionally unloads and receives deliveries, verifies materials/condition received and places in appropriate area, as well as completes related paperwork, records and miscellaneous deliveries.
  • Understands and uses work orders, sales orders and storeroom procedures.
  • Performs data entry functions using ERP system including but not limited to picking parts and materials, labor, posting and material received and invoicing.
  • Delivers parts and materials to appropriate departments/areas.
  • Participates in preparation and performance of cycle counting of component parts.
  • Cross trains on different job tasks within the department and perform other related duties as necessary.
  • Maintain workplace cleanliness and organization through 5S practices.
  • Regular and timely attendance.
  • Work overtime as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
