About The Position

This role is responsible for preparing finished goods for shipment, providing materials and packaging to production lines according to the schedule, and relocating empty bins. The Material Handler will operate a forklift safely in warehouse and production areas, complete necessary paperwork for inventory moves, and maintain a clean working area and equipment. Adherence to all safety, quality, and sanitation requirements is essential.

Requirements

4 years + in fast paced consumer packaged goods / food manufacturing industry
Vital communication skills (verbal and written)
Proven, effective computer/keyboard skills (Warehouse Systems, Excel, Word, Email)
Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines in a hectic production environment
Forklift certification maintained (safe operating record)
Ability to plan / juggle priorities and tasks that can shift throughout the day
High attention to detail in reading paperwork
Ability to problem solve and make timely decisions

Responsibilities

Prepare finished goods for shipment out of facility
Provide materials and packaging to production lines based on schedule
Relocate empty bins to next staging area
Safety operator forklift in warehouse and production areas
Complete necessary paperwork accurately to record xfers or inventory moves
Maintain a clean working area / equipment
Adhere to all safety / quality / sanitations requirements and processes
Coordinate daily activities needed to meet sales volume amongst multiple departments/positions
Ability to maintain focus as a team player
Sustain positive working relationships cross-functionally
