About The Position

Support production operations by ensuring accurate inventory management, efficient material handling, and continuous workflow within production operations. This role is responsible for maintaining production flow by ensuring batches are properly staged, verified, delivered to mixing platforms in a timely manner, completed product retrieved from staging lanes, properly wrapped according to customer requirements and performs system transactions to store products in designated locations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED required
  • 1 Year Forklift Experience required
  • Current forklift certification preferred, ability to get certified required
  • Dependability with a sense of urgency
  • Walk long distances
  • Ability to climb on and off a forklift repeatedly
  • Push, pull, lift, & carry heavy product such as equipment, bags and drums weighing up to 100lbs
  • Able to extend arms with hands over the head or at shoulder height
  • Hold, grasp or turn with the use of hands
  • Kneel, stoop, or bend downwards and forward
  • Ascend or descend ladders and platforms
  • Stand, work, and walk at heights on platforms at least six feet or higher
  • Express or exchange ideas by means of spoken word.
  • Convey detailed instructions to others
  • Able to hear, understand and distinguish speech and/or other sounds such as machinery alarms
  • Near and far visual acuity required
  • Work in an environment that is noisy, dusty and may contain spices with high heat intensity
  • Withstand working in cold and hot temperatures for long periods of time
  • Must be able to read and write English

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years warehouse and/or food manufacturing experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Retrieve newly produced pallets from mixing stagging locations.
  • Verify that all product is clean, undamaged, and labeled/stacked correctly on pallets.
  • Wrap pallets according to customer requirements.
  • Store products in designated areas both physically and systemically in WMS.
  • Assure batch cards are filled out and accurate.
  • Facilitate support of all departments and subsidiary requests.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices.
  • Check and inspect the forklift prior to operation.
  • Operate forklift safely and follow all safety rules, including use around bailer machines.
  • Maintain continuous production flow by lifting new batches onto platforms and removing completed materials and waste when authorized.
  • Ensure all batches are complete and verified by Quality Control before movement.
  • Communicate with room operators to properly load platforms or hang bulk bags for mixing.
  • Remove and dispose of trash from mixing rooms appropriately.
  • Communicate and coordinate with departments such as QC and Formulation to meet production goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.
