The Materials Handler/Packaging Associate is responsible for corresponding daily with QC and internal customers regarding orders and other inquires, reporting out daily management, completing all packaging requirements that are scheduled for each day. This position reports to the Supply Chain Manager and is part of the Supply Chain Team located in Hauppauge, NY and will be an on-site role. The work schedule is Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Forklift operation
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation
  • Standing, bending, lifting, climbing, and repetitive hand motion required
  • Use of PPE as required by process and location
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods

Nice To Haves

  • previous experience in: Experience Knowledge of ISO 9000 standards
  • Inventory system knowledge
  • Two (2) years warehouse experience

Responsibilities

  • Assists with all receiving/warehouse/shipping functions including maintenance of the warehouse, keeping it clean and orderly and ensuring items are efficiently stored
  • Conducts incoming inspections and counting to assure material is received in good condition
  • Coordinates distribution of materials, stores materials, and controls materials
