About The Position

OmniSource is seeking a Material Handler Operator to join their team. This role involves operating various material handling equipment, including excavators, in a safe and productive manner. Responsibilities include loading containers, sorting and sampling materials, and assisting leadership with inventory management. The position requires the ability to cross-train on different equipment types and work with cut-off saws and nonferrous products. The ideal candidate will be a reliable team player, able to work in all weather conditions and flexible hours, with a strong understanding of safety regulations.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of scrap is a plus.

Responsibilities

Operate multiple types of material handling equipment (i.e. excavators) in a safe and productive manner.
Load Containers, sort scrap, sample material, any others duties as requested by Lead or supervisor.
Inspect Equipment prior to operation, fuel, lubricate daily.
Assist leadership with identification and tracking of all inventory upgrades and changes in classification to assist with perpetual inventory goals.
Ability to cross train on various equipment types.
All other duties as requested by Lead and Supervisor.
Willing to work with cut off saw and nonferrous products.
