About The Position

As a Material Handler, you will be able to ensure the physical receiving (manually or via forklift) of items, check for damaged items, document, and initiate replacement process as required. You will also ensure that inventory is put away in the assigned location in a timely manner, pick parts for sales orders and ensure items are shipped in the manner requested, and pick parts for production orders and ensure items ready to be delivered to the production line on time. You will review back-order list as required and work with buyers to expedite delivery, upload and download cycle count sheets, and perform cycle counts as necessary. Additionally, you will organize and maintain inventory in a controlled manner and as directed, retrieve and delivery materials to the line, document the material being issued, perform regular stock checks, and inquire on outstanding purchase orders as necessary. You will also send tools out for repair/warranty as necessary, coordinate pickup and delivery of materials or tools, clean factory floor as required, and take an active part in the company's 5S program. You will cross-train in “tugger” duties, including, "scrap route" twice daily, run Kanban route at designed intervals, store raw materials in the yard, and move materials into the shop and load machines as required. You will move materials between work stations as required, and perform other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to upload and download cycle count sheets
  • Ability to perform cycle counts as necessary
