About The Position

The Material Handler and Machine Operator position is responsible for the storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. They ensure all activity is accurately recorded and resolve any discrepancies in accordance with internal policy while supporting customer needs. They have a great attention to detail and can carry out mathematical processes efficiently and accurately. Being well organized, they are responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy for physical inventory, system inventory and for meeting productivity goals for the material handling activities. Having excellent hand-eye coordination, they will move, load and unload products within the warehouse; breaking product down into storage and selling units, and repackaging.

Requirements

Directly related distribution centre experience.
High energy level and a love of being active.
Team player with excellent communication and customer service skills.
Excellent attention to details skills and are very accurate with numbers and packaging labels.
Manual dexterity.
Comfortable bending, lifting, kneeling, and using ladders.
Prior experience working with software applications that support distribution centre operations (e.g. warehouse control systems, SAP).
