Requirements

  • Must be organized and a good communicator.
  • Must be a go-getter. Always moving.
  • Able to lift.
  • Walk-in 10,000 steps/day and swiftly.
  • Must be very proficient in Microsoft Excel (expert).
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
  • Able to work extended hours and weekends.
  • Must have attention to detail along with a willingness to be cross-trained.
  • Dependable in regard to attendance.
  • Solid problem solving, project management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to react to situations with a strong sense of urgency.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant warehouse or manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Experience with MRP, ERP, and/or Pull Systems (Desirable).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities between multiple manufacturing departments and outside vendors to prioritize production activities for optimal On-Time Delivery performance.
  • Locate and distribute materials to specified production areas.
  • Monitor work orders to ensure production runs match work order requirements.
  • Interact with the manufacturing director to understand all aspects of keeping production running smoothly.
  • Interact routinely with shop managers to assess current materials needs and address problems.
  • Review daily job printout for each work center.
  • Locate jobs in the staging area and prioritize.
  • Review the picklist and ensure all necessary items for the job are present.
  • Advise production planning if there is insufficient work for a day.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of carts and storage shelves.
  • Ensure every bin has a label that matches the traveler inside.
  • Run and release SFC.
  • Attend OPS meetings.
  • Track walkthrough/quick-turn jobs.
  • Communicate between production and planning.
  • Run efficiency, capacity, and work center tracking reports.
  • Manage outsourcing activities.
  • Perform AX Clocking.
  • Handle downtime activities, including opening packaging and preparing/staging welding jobs.
  • Assist with warehouse/shipping/logistics/packing.
