Material Handler - Inventory Control (Temporary Position)

About The Position

The primary objective of this role is to support inventory control, including conducting cycle counts and physical inventory checks. They will also support all other areas of the warehouse operations, including picking and receiving incoming stock, scanning and stocking automotive parts, preparing skids, processing returns, and maintaining the overall appearance of the warehouse. This is a 6-week temporary contract position with the potential for extension. The role may require transitioning to an afternoon shift in the future.

Requirements

Ability to perform physically demanding work (must be able to move products that weigh 10 – 50 pounds, be able to walk, climb, balance, twist, lift, and bend safely and regularly)
Strong basic mathematical skills and understanding of basic units of measure
Strong basic computer skills (e.g. ability to use Outlook, online database and web-based training)
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Positive and professional attitude with a flexible mindset

Warehouse experience (e.g. picking, receiving, shipping, and maintenance)

Experience and certifications on machinery (e.g. Walkie, Cherry Picker/Order Picker, Reach, Counterbalance)
RF Scanner experience

Responsibilities

Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory checks
Help control inventory and ensure product availability
Support all warehouse duties (picking orders, receiving, shipping, stocking, and organizing parts)
Complete necessary paperwork (e.g. warranty forms) in an accurate manner
Efficiently and safely load auto parts onto delivery vehicles
Follow health and safety awareness practices (e.g. safe material handling practices, knowledge and application of proper ergonomics and hand hygiene)
Efficiently sort items in alphanumeric order
Operate warehouse equipment when necessary to perform tasks
Other reasonable duties as assigned by the management team
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
