About The Position

Cummings Electrical is hiring a Material Handler/Equipment Operator for our Integrated Manufacturing facility. Cummings Electrical is expanding our Integrated Manufacturing team. We design and build custom, integrated, modular systems such as e-houses, electrical skids, HAC’s and UL 508A panels for a wide range of projects, including data centers, healthcare facilities, industrial plants, and more. Requirements

  • Activities related to shipping and receiving of materials
  • 5+ years of relevant equipment experience with proven safety record
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Knowledge and experience working with different types and sizes of equipment such as scissor lift, boom lift, forklift, and power skates.
  • Knowledge of KOJO or other WMS
  • Experience with Equipment Material Inspections

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with operating gantry cranes, forklifts, overhead cranes, or other heavy machinery

Responsibilities

  • Safe operation of equipment is a must; negligent and/or abusive operation will not be tolerated
  • Support with scheduling with vendors
  • Ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures including safety initiatives
  • Promptly report any mechanical or safety problem with the equipment in accordance with company procedures
  • Understand the value of teamwork and communications necessary to operate onsite functions
  • Perform a daily equipment walk-around inspection
  • Loading/Unloading of materials and deliveries
  • Participate in Material Inspections
  • Usage of power tools to perform routine duties and tasks as necessary
  • Perform physical duties (lifting, climbing, cleaning of equipment)
  • Work mostly indoors but still be subject to extremes of temperature and weather (i.e. warehouse environment)
  • Assist in tasks such as moving or staging materials (conduit, electrical/HVAC equipment) other tasks related to underground electrical installation
