The Gund Company has an immediate opening for a full-time Manufacturing Material Handler to join our team! Shift: First (8:30am - 5:00pm, M-F) Hourly Wage: $21 - $24 per hour based on experience Plant/Work Location: 10501-3 W. 133rd Avenue, Cedar Lake, IN 46303 About The Gund Company The Gund Company, a leader in engineered material solutions, specializes in customized electrical insulation products. With 12 global facilities, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality products and excellent customer service. We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Material Handler to join our team. Manufacturing Material Handler Job Summary As a Manufacturing Material Handler, you will Implement the Order Fulfillment Process steps related to the accuracy of raw material and finished goods inventory including quantity, storage location, material grade and dimensions.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience.
Strong basic math skills and the ability to use measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, micrometers, etc.).
Ability to understand drawing and blueprints.
Ability to operate a forklift and use various hand tools.
Flexibility to work overtime and adjust to emergency production needs.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
Visual ERP experience.
Data Link experience.

Responsibilities

Material Handling: Receive, inspect, store, pull, and stage materials for fabrication.
Inventory Accuracy: Verify documentation, match packing slips, and resolve discrepancies.
Safety Compliance: Handle HAZCOM/HAZMAT materials per guidelines.
Order Fulfillment: Pull and stage materials based on FIFO and production schedules.
