About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Material Handler III. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00am - 3:45pm. The rate for this position is $19.00 per hour. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. The Material Handler will provide support in all areas of the warehouse including, but not limited to inventory counts, order picking, and shipping and receiving parts, with the overall goal of timely order fulfillment and adherence to Eaton’s quality standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of forklift experience (sit-down/standup).
  • Minimum of 18 months of manufacturing, distribution, or military experience.
  • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of El Paso, TX will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Nice To Haves

  • Two or more years of warehouse experience in an industrial environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive skills, and analytical problem-solving skills. Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within team environment.
  • Experience working diligently with large data tables. Attention to detail.
  • Computer literate.
  • Knowledge of AS400, VISTA and MAPICS systems
  • Knowledge of Lean and continuous process improvements
  • Ability to lift. push, and pull up to twenty-five pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to squat and reach above the head with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to physically operate a forklift with or without reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

  • Support fabrication and production operations by creating and updating manufacturing orders, loading production plans into machine software, and resolving exception messages as directed.
  • Receive and process material kitting orders and raw materials to support production schedules and inventory accuracy.
  • Perform inventory transactions and material movements while accurately locating fabricated materials within designated storage locations.
  • Conduct quality checks and help ensure products and materials meet Eaton’s quality standards throughout the production process.
  • Safely operate material handling and warehouse equipment, including forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, and pallet-wrapping equipment.
  • Lead and maintain 5S standards within the assigned work area while supporting Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Comply with Eaton’s safety policies and industrial hygiene requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment, while supporting departmental safety objectives and goals.
