About The Position

Coordinates the internal flow of raw material and in process manufactured hardware to support manufacturing schedules and Operations commitments on engineering and production programs. Support the manufacturing process by performing inventory management and the associated material support and documentation maintenance activities. Prepares and verifies assembly kits to meet pre-scheduled release dates using pick list. Selects stock using first in-first out system, checks and records solder ability date, vendor date code (when required) and quantity issued. Interfaces with materials and production personnel to resolve materials shortages. Responds to requests for materials needed for engineering or production programs, works from computerized reports. Ensures that materials are properly packaged or repackaged per required special handling specifications, when necessary, in electrostatic bags or as otherwise specified. Labels and stocks in specified bins or fills back-order requirements, both for the assembly floor or kits in process. Delivers completed assembly kits or point of use (POU) material to designated areas and if required, releases to work-in-process (WIP) Performs cycle count audits and physical inventories. Audits inventory records for accuracy on a regular basis. Checks actual stock against amounts recorded. Ensures that all required materials are properly identified with safety information and handling labels in conformance with Company and OSHA guidelines. Perform a combination of manual and clerical shipping duties. Uses computer system for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting. Follows shipping practices and procedures along with customer requirements to include transportation routing, schedules and packaging requirements. Verifies quantity, and conformance of materials to stated identifications and documentation. Works with Oracle and other computer systems including both in-house programs and customer portals. Coordinates the verification, inspection, and receipt of incoming material to ensure timely delivery to designated areas. Visually checks all incoming material to verify quantity and for any damage to package or contents. Compares accompanying paperwork against contents and original purchasing records to confirm that the proper items have been received and inputs verification of same. Documents missing or damaged parts and completes necessary paperwork. Adheres to company guidelines regarding the proper handling of classified and/or hazardous materials. Routes packages according to inspection code. May assist in the delivery of packages throughout the facility, incorporating the use of power or manual equipment and hand tools to move heavy or awkward materials or packages. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

Requirements

  • High School education
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Basic understanding of PC applications including Oracle and iStar
  • As necessary, ability to work with small complex parts
  • US citizenship or Permanent Resident status
