About The Position

Emerson has an exciting opportunity for a Material Handler III at our Olive Branch, MS distribution center. This role will safely and efficiently handle materials throughout the warehouse — stocking incoming items, performing replenishments, and picking orders using powered equipment such as reach trucks and pallet jacks. You’ll play a key part in maintaining productivity and ensuring our operations run smoothly.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED
Requires prior reach lift experience with 6 months previous warehouse experience.
Previous shipping/receiving/material handling experience.
Ability to operate forklift in a safe manner.
Physical requirements: Able to lift parts weighing more than (50) fifty pounds (assistance when needed) and to work in bending, squatting, and standing positions for prolonged periods of time.
Occasionally reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, banding, stretching, bending, and standing frequently.
Must be able to work quickly meeting productivity and quality standards.
Promote an environment where individual contribution(s) toward quality and cost improvements are maximized.
Must pass forklift certifications and requirements to operate forklifts.
Must pass a non-DOT physical exam
Legal authorized to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided.
Ability to work overtime when necessary.

Nice To Haves

Previous RF equipment to move product.
Strong team work skills with a proven track record to collaborate in fast-paced warehouse environment.
Hands on experience and ability cross-functional work in different areas.

Responsibilities

Responsible for moving product within the warehouse by means of motorized equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, order selectors or reach lifts.
Responsible to stock incoming items, to replenish flow racks, and pick orders with use of RF equipment
Create cartons and labels prior to shipping
Maintain productivity minimum standards with a sense of urgency.
Adhere to all safety rules, policies and procedures
Replenish orders as necessary to support operation.
Supply cardboard boxes and bags for departments.
Maintain safe actions on and off the equipment in compliance with all safety rules/regulations required by Emerson, federal, state and local provisions.
Meet department quality, attendance and productivity requirements.
Perform necessary housekeeping duties to maintain clean work environment.
Other duties as assigned.
