About The Position

Mohawk Industries is looking for a Material Handler III to join their team. This role is responsible for safely, accurately, and efficiently handling various types of products for receiving, locating, or shipping. The products can include roll goods, packages, cartons, or palletized items. The Material Handler also verifies the accuracy of products loaded onto trucks for customer delivery.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of all required on the job training.
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.
• No prior experience required.
• Operate in a team-based environment.
• Minor computer skills.
• Ability to become certified on all types of lift equipment (fork, pole order picker).
• Ability to operate on-board RF equipment and have a basic understanding of the AS-400 system.
• Must be able to lift 50 - 80 lbs. numerous times throughout shift.
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, push, pull and reach for long periods of time.
• Must be willing and able to work any shift or number of hours deemed necessary by management.

Responsibilities

• Operate a lift truck.
• Perform as a Checker – verifying the product pulled against the Pull Sheet.
• Perform data entry into AS400 – order quantities, changes, palletizing, etc.
• Oversee lower-level Material Handlers, checking their work, informing them of errors, damaged product, proper procedures, etc.
• May interact with customers and handle customer pick-up orders.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervisor.
• Follow all established standard operating procedures.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
