About The Position

Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment. Examines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines. Prepares kitting packages for assembly production. Works in a shipping/receiving environment. Packs and unpacks systems, accessories, parts and components. Handles delicate and sensitive parts and materials with care. Interacts daily with ERP, email and project management systems. Maintains records of material movement. Follows detailed packaging procedures for routine equipment combinations. Exercises judgment in safe packaging of less common equipment combinations. Communicates with others from different groups in coordinating the outbound flow of material. Performs cycle counts of inventory, including specializing in packing material used in primary work duties. Submits timely replenishment requests for packing materials. Assists in preparing kits for internal or external assembly operations.

Requirements

  • HS Graduate or equivalent.
  • 2 - 4 years working in Material-related functions.
  • Attention to detail and an appreciation of the effort needed to undo a lack of attention to detail.
  • Organization master with the ability to keep track of high volumes of paperwork and inventory.
  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to complete tasks on time or proactively present potential delays to management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with moving parts and shifting priorities.
  • Willingness to be reliable and accountable.
  • Proactive approach to task completion.
  • Ability to follow step-by-step instructions and escalate any documentation gaps.
  • Ability to lift heavy items.
