About The Position

Dal-Tile is currently seeking an expert Material Handler to join our TEAM! As a veteran Material Handler, we need someone that is ready to operate all equipment utilized in the distribution center such as the Reach Truck, Cherry Picker, Sit-Down Forklift and Electric Pallet Jack. This role's primary objective is to operate various powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and convey orders to packing station or shipping area. The position involves assembling customer orders from stock and placing them on pallets, utilizing warehouse systems, verifying stock availability, and auditing orders for accuracy. The Material Handler will also monitor equipment and processes, report problems to supervisors, and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent experience
• Certified Sit-Down Forklift Operator
• 3 or more years previous distribution/warehouse experience
• Minimum of 6 months previous stand-up forklift or order picker equipment experience
• Good oral and written communications skills
• Good record keeping skills
• Good listening skills
• Accurate measurement capability
• Ability to understand and speak basic English
• Ability to work in a safe and conscientious manner
• Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks

Responsibilities

• Operates various powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and conveys orders to packing station or shipping area.
• Operates order picker equipment or stand-up forklift to assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets.
• Utilizes warehouse systems such as Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Verifies stock availability and audits orders for accuracy.
• Conveys picked orders to packing station or shipping area.
• Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
• Follows standard operating and safety procedures.
• Keeps area safe, clean and organized.
• Performs other related duties as required.
