Oatey is seeking a Material Handler III - Bulk Unloader for its Cleveland Manufacturing plant. This role is crucial for supporting the operation by completing various material handling functions while ensuring safety, quality, and performance goals are met. Requirements

  • Three to Five (3-5) years of related work experience.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Forklift operator certification/authorization required.
  • Must be able to operate all types of material handling equipment in the facility including forklift, reach truck, walkie, stock picker, and loader.
  • Excellent understanding of supply-chain logistics management and carrier routing requirements.
  • Working knowledge of corporate safety program and emergency preparedness plans.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability problem solve and apply critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Use material handling equipment to ensure merchandise is placed in its properly assigned location as soon as possible.
  • Select and load orders while verifying the SKU with the product and completing all transactions through radio frequency process.
  • Support the replenishing function for the shipping area into the pick lines.
  • Support Operations with Cycle-Count responsibilities; perform rework and return goods duties as assigned.
  • Ensure lost product and damages are processed on a nightly basis; verify all quantities on system transactions.
  • Partner and collaborate with other associates, and take on additional duties and projects as needed with a positive attitude.
  • Train and onboard new hires, ensuring they understand all warehouse operations and safety regulations.
  • Create an overall training plan, schedule with trainees, audit the training process, and update the curriculum as needed.
  • Achieve performance metrics at and above standard (safety, quality, and productivity).
