About The Position

The Material Handler II is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and moving customer orders through receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping. This hands-on, onsite role uses handheld scanners, printers, and warehouse systems, and operates forklifts, powered pallet jacks, and order pickers. The position also prepares compliant shipments of hazardous and non-hazardous materials, requiring 49 CFR and IATA certification. The role is based in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and works Monday through Friday on 2nd shift.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating PIV equipment and in material handling.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Comfort working at heights of up to 20 feet while operating PIV equipment.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods as required.
• 49 CFR and IATA certification for preparing compliant shipments.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and ship customer orders accurately and on time.
• Receive, transfer, consolidate, and put away inventory while maintaining accuracy.
• Use handheld devices, printers, and warehouse systems to support inventory movement and order accuracy.
• Create shipments, bills, packing lists, and labels that meet hazardous and non-hazardous material requirements.
• Safely operate forklifts, powered pallet jacks, and order pickers.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace through daily 6S standards.
• Collaborate with Warehouse, Quality, and Manufacturing teams, solve problems, and escalate issues as needed.
