About The Position

The Material Handler will be responsible for all material handling needs, primarily picking warehouse parts and delivering them to assembly areas to ensure efficient production. Work closely with production lines to ensure full utilization of people, materials, and equipment to meet customer demand. The Material Handler will be required to achieve company standards for Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement (CI), and Productivity. This role reports to the Materials Supervisor and takes direction from Materials Leads. The shift for this position is 3rd Shift: 11pm - 7am, with a pay rate of $19.75/hour plus an 11% shift premium.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years' experience
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills
  • Intermediate PC knowledge
  • Ability to identify and resolve intermediate problems
  • Ability to operate all forklift or other equipment to transport materials
  • Ability to enter/maintain/transact materials in company ERP program
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

  • Picking warehouse parts and delivering them to assembly areas to ensure efficient production.
  • Working closely with production lines to ensure full utilization of people, materials, and equipment to meet customer demand.
  • Achieving company standards for Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement (CI), and Productivity.
  • Operating all forklift or other equipment to transport materials.
  • Entering/maintaining/transacting materials in the company ERP program.
  • Participating in metric boards measuring Safety, Quality, CI, and Productivity.
  • Resolving problems with assistance from peers or supervisors depending on the level and complexity.
  • Following defined procedures and practices.
  • Participating in 5S programs that are based on visual control to determine if an area is normal or abnormal. If abnormal, fix the area immediately.
  • Completing forklift daily per procedure.
  • Maintaining good attendance per policy.
