About The Position

Lifetime Brands is seeking operators for its new Distribution Center in Hagerstown, MD. Initially, the role will focus on preparing the distribution center for product reception, which includes using a scissor lift to label racks up to 35 feet high. Once operational, the Material Handler II will be responsible for operating various light industrial vehicles and/or RF devices for tasks such as picking bulk orders, loading/unloading, and shipping/receiving merchandise.

Requirements

  • High School or equivalent education.
  • 1-4 years of experience operating Light Industrial equipment.
  • Certification on: Electric Jack, sit-down forklift, and/or Order Picker and/or Reach.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, reach, pull and push for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to satisfactorily complete Equipment driving training program.
  • Must be able to listen and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to follow specific instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with WMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate powered light industrial trucks to move product to and from designated areas in the warehouse.
  • Follow daily procedures & protocols as set forth in job orientations and training.
  • Review orders and place them within the appropriate areas as directed by the vehicle mounted computer manifest.
  • Operate a scissor lift at a height of 35 feet above the ground to label racks.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance checks before each use and complete the inspection card.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties, such as removal and stacking of empty skids in designated areas.
  • At the end of each shift, return equipment to the correct charging station and prepare for daily overnight charge.
  • Follow all safety regulations required by OSHA and Company.
  • Other duties as assigned.
