About The Position

As a Material Handler you will be responsible for performing tasks related to the preparation of merchandise for shipping. Moves merchandise between operations. May operate forklift, crane, or other conveyance machinery. Maintains records of materials and merchandise. Checks invoices and bills of lading. Performs scheduling of shop loading and physical control of in-process inventories. Expedites workflow and helps coordinate changes in schedules. Includes warehousing activities. This position is based at our Santa Isabel, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

Requirements

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English (verbal and written)
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Responsibilities

  • Receive, check, store, issue and ship a variety of items and maintains inventory control.
  • Check material against documentation for proper nomenclature, identification and quantity.
  • Store articles in proper location.
  • Manage daily of stockroom inventory.
  • Receive MRO units in SAP system and create services notifications.
  • Ship the customer units in compliance with government export control regulations.
  • Create reports of daily receiving units.
  • Pull items, issue material, supply, components and parts from stock.
  • Dispatch materials to assemblers and technicians.
  • Maintain contact with personnel from various suppliers and supports areas to ensure accuracy of material/process.
  • Maintain accountability of shipping material used every month to prevent any short of material.
  • Perform Cycle Count and Physical Inventories.
  • Keep equipment and surrounding areas neat and clean.
  • Keep stock in orderly arrangement.
  • Prepares and packages small and large parts using proper procedures and materials.
  • Utilize small hand tools, scales and operates material handling equipment such as pallet handlers and hand trucks.
  • Assist the shop floor with any part shortages.
  • Apply intermediate skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
  • Has substantial understanding of the job.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • An essential function of this role is the ability to accurately see, read, and interpret information on screens and materials for extended periods.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a post offer vision examination.
