About The Position

The Material Handler II is responsible for ensuring that materials, components, and supplies are delivered from the warehouse to the production floor accurately and on time. This role plays a critical part in maintaining continuous production by ensuring each operation has the materials needed to meet production schedules and customer requirements. This is for 1st shift.

Requirements

Typically requires a HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems.

Nice To Haves

Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or material-handling experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately identify materials and part numbers.
Ability to prioritize multiple material requests and meet production deadlines.
Ability to safely lift, move, and transport materials as required by the position.
Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or warehouse management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Responsible for timely and accurate transport raw materials, components, packaging, and other supplies from the warehouse to designated production areas.
Transfer incoming stock from other warehouse/stock locations or receiving into warehouse bin locations.
Monitor material requirements and respond to requests from production personnel.
Verify material quantities, part numbers, and labels before delivering materials to the production floor.
Maintain accurate inventory movement and material transactions using company systems or documentation.
Return unused or excess materials from production to the appropriate warehouse locations.
Perform inventory counts and investigate material discrepancies as assigned.
Keep material staging areas, aisles, and work areas organized and free of obstructions.
Safely operate material-handling equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, forklifts, or other equipment as authorized.
Follow all company safety procedures, quality requirements, and material-handling practices.
Communicate material shortages, delays, damaged materials, or other issues to the appropriate supervisor or production personnel.
Prioritize material deliveries based on production schedules and operational needs.
Support continuous improvement efforts related to material flow, inventory accuracy, and production efficiency.
Perform other duties as assigned.
