About The Position

The Material Handler II is the primary person responsible for transferring inventory between SENS warehouse and production locations. SENS' goal is to maintain approximately one to two weeks of parts in the factory warehouse, and extra stock at our backup warehouse. The Material Handler works with the production department to identify needed transfers. They create transfer transactions in the SyteLine ERP system, physically load and unload parts between warehouses, and restock the factory warehouse.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, material handling, and computer-based inventory systems.
  • Experience working within ERP systems, preferabley Syteline
  • Ability to perform basic mechanical and electrical assembly with basic power tools.
  • Ability to speak, read, and understand English as needed to perform the duties of the job.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, maintain accuracy and attention to detail, and take initiative.
  • Customer-focused team player with a commitment to delivering excellent service.
  • Clean driving record & ability to drive 26ft box truck.

Responsibilities

  • Loads and unloads delivery truck of items for transfer between all facilities
  • Keeps all areas clean and clear of debris and trash. Follows all safety procedures and guidelines. Ensures team is working safely and properly reporting any concerns or risks. Reports all safety instances to HSE Manager and/or Warehouse Manager
  • Assists and supports fellow team members with material handling duties and responsibilities. Supports production with material needs and communicating cross functionally.
  • Executes cycle counting duties under the guidance of Material Handler III, Team Lead, Inventory Control, or Management. Including but not limited to counting, moving material, labeling, data collection and root cause analysis.
  • Performs ‘just-in-time’ material deliveries to production. Maintains all Bin organization, fulfillment, and movements.
  • Fills and supports all implemented line kitting, including PC2 line kits
  • Delivers material to POU, puts material away in warehouse locations, unloads trucks with incoming material, organizes all warehouse/material areas (including racks, floor, and production areas), and supports RMR material movements/organization.
  • Pulls materials needed per the request list to stage for production, kitting, kanban, or transfer on delivery vehicle.
  • Receives incoming materials into ERP system.
  • Completes movement transactions in ERP system for any physical location change of material, including all transfers and GL costing.
  • Verifies paperwork and transactions match the physical receipt of goods.
  • Performs basic mechanical and electrical assembly with basic power tools.
  • Creates pull order for transfer items (reviews request list/hot list for additional needs or communication from other teams).
  • Communicates pull order to Materials team and communicates any delays/issues with the ‘customer’ or other impacted parties (example - buyers).
  • Identifies open warehouse locations or any other defined location for products to utilize space, enhance FIFO, and reduce quality/safety issues.
