As Material Handler II (Water Spider), you will be responsible for working with department personnel to make sure daily required parts are located in the work station, non-conforming is processed daily, help with cycle counts as needed. Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, this position is based in Shreveport, LA. This position is open to candidates who are authorized to work and reside in the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin or Wyoming. Due to payroll, tax, and employment law requirements, applicants must be located in one of these states at the time of hire.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • RF Scanner
  • Forklift certification
  • Blueprint reading
  • Standing and/or walking for extended periods of time
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch
  • Must be willing to work overtime with little to no notice
  • Have no more than 1 current corrective action
  • Must maintain less than 24 attendance points to maintain role.

Responsibilities

  • Work with department personnel
  • Work with Material Handlers & Expeditors
  • Work with Team Leads & Supervisors
  • Daily inspection of any equipment that’s used to move material
  • Maintain 5S to ensure cleanliness and part presentation.
  • Utilize hand trucks, hoist, powered industrial trucks, and other material handling equipment
  • Non-conforming material is clearly identified and processed within 48 hours.
  • Perform daily location audits.
  • Fill carts or workstations to appropriate level of inventory
  • Perform cycle counts & other inventory management functions within assigned department
  • Must be able to work overtime with little or no notice
  • Must be able to move material in standard time allowed.
  • Maintain parts identification throughout delivery process
  • Ensure parts pick lists submitted by end of shift.
